In most cases, the primary objective of a church's website is to glean new worship service visitors through warm invitations and information about church—to the unchurched.
Our findings—were a big problem.
Churches are lagging behind most industries in terms of effective website usage for organizational growth. In this case, the organization is the Kingdom of God.
Though budget is always a problem for the smaller churches, mindset and/or misunderstanding the value of a quality website, marketing, and website management are in fact the core issues.
When we polled church leaders and executive pastors, almost everyone agreed that a website was important however the resources they allocated to the website proved very different. This highlighted the idea that mindset and misunderstanding of digital marketing were in play.
Though more research is required to nail down the details around the deficit of effective web practice among Christian churches we can start by educating and informing churches where they are.
Our vision is to help churches where they are, to grow the Kingdom of God through quality church-focused digital marketing practices. Every church may not have the budget to afford digital marketing services but every church can begin to take action with this short audit quiz.
